From Design to weaving, a Neela Design rug is a unique piece of handicraft produced in India using old, traditional techniques. The rugs are distinguished by an extra cotton back making them very hard-wearing and flat washing by professionals ensures many years of pleasure from the rug. 
With the aid of local organizations the production is continually monitored to ensure that the work is carried out by adult weavers under safe production.  Neela Design contributes to the building and maintenance of schools, kindergartens and hospitals in India, through its membership of Care & Fair.
