The oldest system, 8 way hand tied coil suspension, is rarely used in modern furnishings. Pirelli is a no steel, lightweight webbing that is attached directly to the frame and woven together providing a firm European style seat that offers plenty of support.
Sinuous no-sag springs are composed of tempered steel that is placed in a zig-zig pattern to help distribute tension. These springs provide a softer, more flexible seat.
